Group Work for Problem Identification

The workshop seamlessly transitioned into an interactive phase as participants immersed themselves in group discussions, tasked with identifying and defining the core problems contributing to the challenging educational landscape presented in the Morocco case study. This collaborative effort aimed to harness diverse perspectives and facilitate collective problem identification.

Divided into four groups, each unit undertook the responsibility of dissecting a specific facet of the issue:

Group 1: Demotivating Education System

This group delved into the systemic factors that contribute to the demotivation within the education system. Exploring pedagogical methods, institutional policies, and other elements, they sought to understand and articulate the root causes of the perceived lack of policies, facilitations and infrastructures.

Group 2: Lack of Funds

Focused on the financial aspect, this group examined the challenges arising from the insufficient allocation of funds to the education sector. Exploring potential consequences and innovative funding solutions, they aimed to shed light on how financial constraints impact the overall educational landscape.

Group 3: Poverty

Addressing the socioeconomic context, this group explored how poverty intertwines with educational challenges. By identifying the barriers that poverty poses to accessing quality education, they aimed to propose strategies for breaking the cycle and fostering educational inclusivity.

Group 4: Improper Resource Allocation

This group scrutinized the allocation of resources within the educational system, examining how mismanagement might hinder effective learning environments. Their goal was to pinpoint areas of improvement and propose strategies for optimizing the allocation of resources to enhance educational outcomes.

The collaborative group discussions not only encouraged the surfacing of nuanced insights but also demonstrated the power of collective intelligence in dissecting multifaceted issues. As participants engaged in these problem identification sessions, a palpable sense of shared purpose and commitment to addressing the challenges facing Morocco's education system emerged. This laid a solid groundwork for the next phase of the workshop, where these identified problems would be further analyzed and innovative solutions collectively explored.
