Presentation of the Context (Morocco education)

.

The workshop transitioned seamlessly into a pivotal segment as we delved into a comprehensive case study. This real-world scenario served as a lens through which participants could analyze and understand the complexities of collective intelligence in action.

We are thrilled to share an in-depth recap of our recent workshop, "Application of Collective Intelligence in Problem-Solving," which took place on January 13, 2024, at the ABS Building in Room B3MD01.

The focal point of our case study was the educational landscape in Morocco. Aiming for a thorough exploration, we honed in on disconcerting statistics: a national illiteracy rate of 36.5%, and for those under the age of 20, a staggering 67% have not attained a high school education (Dadush. U & Saoudi, H. (2019) Inequality in Morocco: an international perspective).

This contextual backdrop not only painted a vivid picture of the challenges facing Morocco's education system but also set a robust foundation for the subsequent activities of the workshop. By anchoring our collective intelligence exploration in a real-world, pertinent issue, we aimed to inspire innovative solutions and foster a collaborative mindset among participants. The case study served as a call to action, compelling us to collectively engage with the intricate issues surrounding education in Morocco and seek impactful solutions.
